The Prophecy of Money Money 2020: The Network Returns

Money Money 2020 - The interstellar space transmission from the New Wave Punk Band The Network, released in 2003.

In 2003, an ancient prophecy was fulfilled as a New Wave Punk Band known as The Network came to issue a warning to mankind in the form of music. This warning took the form of the album Money Money 2020. This work of art shined a light on the foolishness and vanity of mankind. The Network brought vanity face to face with mortality with the release of Money Money 2020. This band was rumored to be God’s Favorite Band, Green Day, but their true identities still remain unknown to this day. These masked heroes from the future go by the names of Wihelm Fink (lead vocals/lead guitar), Van Gough (lead vocals/bass guitar), The Snoo (drums/vocals), Z (keyboards/keytar/vocals), Captain Underpants (Keyboards), and Balducci (Rhythm Guitar). The Network has officially returned to issue mankind a final warning. 

Money Money 2020 was released in September of 2003 through Adeline Records and featured a total of 12 Tracks. These twelve songs illustrate the story around the Church of Lushotology and the wisdom that The Network has gathered through their miraculous travels through time and space. The interstellar transmission of Money Money 2020 Part II will be received by mankind soon. The Network urges all who can to listen, think for yourself, and choose wisely as the devolution of mankind is becoming our disastrous future.

The Network were formed in the year 2003, fulfilling an ancient prophecy predicting that we, its chosen members, would issue a stern warning to mankind in the form of music. Released as the album titled Money Money 2020 we shined the headlights upon the follies and vanity of man kind. Rapidly achieving fame and fortune, we had often been mistaken as the planets greatest rock ‘n’ roll band Green Day. This earthly comparison is almost as comical as the humans that inhabit this dying planet! A Time Machine & The Church of Lushotology... After our mercurial rise and the foundation of the Church of Lushotology. We have seen riches beyond imagination, thus we abandoned the doldrums of stardom and focused our efforts on time travel and the salvation of things beyond the human grasp! Within our travels through both time and space we have seen the futures foretold in the prophecy, and it is both disastrous and hilarious! Beyond these interstellar crossroads lie parallel dimensions where the oxymorons can create their own destiny! Choose wisely, for the devolution of man has always been a choice. The release of “Money Money 2020 Part II" will serve as the final lesson! Within the binary codes of this album exist the keys to our past, present, and future DNA! The Gods are laughing & it’s up to you to prove them wrong... You're welcome... The Network The Church of Lushotology is in session and it’s time to drink up!

On the night of October 28,2020, strange happenings began to arise across Instagram. The accounts for The Longshot and The Coverups, two projects that Billie Joe Armstrong works on, were hacked. The accounts temporarily uploaded a gif of the logo for The Church of Lushotology. It seems that Wihelm Fink from The Network attempted to reach beyond the interstellar crossroads and communicate with the present-day society through hacking into Billie Joe Armstrong’s phone and attempting to take over his social media accounts. Luckily, Armstrong caught the hack and quickly deleted the content. In response to this attempt to block all communications from The Network, they created their own Instagram account to begin distributing the message of The Church of Lushotology. As a final lesson for the present-day society, The Network will be confirming The Prophecy with the release of Money Money 2020 Part II. This release will contain the binary codes to the keys of our past, present, and futures - a truly highly anticipated release for our currently dim and bleak society. 

The Network has officially returned to the present day to warn mankind that in the year of Money Money 2020 the insignificance of man cannot be overstated and our current perceptions of what is of importance in this world are askew. These masked heroes from the intergalactic future have come to warn that those who do not evolve their current ways of being will find themselves disconnected from The Network. So in the year of Money Money 2020, The Network would like everyone to remember one thing...
