Jinjer Comes to America and Makes a Stop in Atlanta!

We at ConcertHopper were fortunate to have recently been able to attend the Coming to America tour for the Atlanta stop at Buckhead Theatre. This tour featured Jinjer, Suicide Silence, and All Hail the Yeti. This tour had been postponed due to COVID so fans had been waiting for quite some time to see Jinjer back in the US which made for a great show environment and with Suicide Silence and All Hail the Yeti being great supporting acts it made for a phenomenal night.

First to take the stage was All Hail the Yeti from Los Angeles, California. Their stage setup was quite impressive to see. Behind the band stood banners with the letters AHTY plus Nordic runes below the Latin characters. At key spots on the stage were floral arrangements with deer skulls and candles. Their music was very melodic and a slower pace, but quite heavy which made for a great intro for what was to come.

Next to take the stage was another California band, Suicide Silence. For those unfamiliar with the history of the band, the original vocalist Mitch Lucker, who was widely beloved by the metal community at large, was killed in a motorcycle accident in November of 2012. The current vocalist, Eddie Hermida, stepped in and took the reins and allowed the band to continue. Mitch was an irreplaceable figure, but the band continued to provide heavy, slamming metal music for their fans and they delivered a ton of energy for this show.

Finally, the stage was set for the night’s headliner, Jinjer who hail from the Ukraine. Jinjer rapidly grew in popularity, thanks in no small part to a studio recording of their song “Pisces” done live which transitioned from beautiful and melodic clean vocals to a bone jarring scream. People had a lot of difficulty believing that the vocalist Tatiana could be female and manage the vocals that she did in the song. Since then, they’ve been internationally touring and proving it live on stage. This performance was amazing and to see Tati and the entire band in action is truly an unreal experience.

There are currently only a couple of remaining dates on this tour but we highly recommend checking out any of these three bands if they are on a tour package coming to your area.
